This was my first time at “The Finch” and I guarantee it will not be my last. We had our ladies November brunch here and it was a total of 15 of us in the group. I want to start off first with the superb hospitality from the time we walked into the restaurant. At the very last minute, we had to add three more guests and they were very accommodating with no hesitation. Our waiter was Mark. We ended up calling him “Check Mark” because he really was a great waiter. He got our orders correct on the first try from the food to the drinks. He was very pleasant and indulged us with all of our girl banter. Vince, the manager also came over to our table to greet us and made sure that we were well taken care of which of course we were. As one of the ladies had a belated birthday from the prior week, we had a little special treat for her. They brought out a cheesecake with a firecracker candle for her and Vince also sung “Happy Birthday” with all of us. Made it even more epic. Now let’s get into the food, everything was seasoned very well and tasted amazing. I was able to try the Volcano Shrimp as well as the Meatballs, I had no regrets. The shrimp was very flavorful. The meatballs were cooked just great and the side of bread that comes with it; if you are a bread lover, like myself, you must try them. Now let’s talk about the drinks , I had their Mini Martini Flight with the Apple Martini, Cosmopolitan and the Lemon Drop, as you can pick 3 for the flight. If you prefer to have all of the same three drinks, you can also do that!! They all tasted great, but the Apple Martini definitely was my favorite one which is shocking because I’m very much of a Lemon Drop brunch girl. As I mentioned, we had a fairly large group and they did not make us have to put everything on one check or say only can split into three payments. Everybody was able to pay for themselves with no problem. You just have to make sure that once you’re seated, that is the seat you intend to be in upon leaving to avoid any confusion once the bill comes. Final thoughts, there isn’t anything that I can say about the restaurant that I did not like! The experience inside and definitely also the scenery on the outside makes this location great for a girls night or guys night, definitely a date night or even just a spur on the moment type of outing. I am already planning my next visit so you should definitely go ahead and plan your first.
1st time here and the service is awesome from entering to departure, the food was awesome, I started with the Volcano Shrimp, Mini Flight Martinis, for dinner I got the RibEye Steak Frites… delicious is a understatement, 10 out of 10 I recommend. Manager was awesome, waiters were awesome I was impressed, not to mention it’s Thanksgiving I’m truly impressed. Pictures uploading… Omg the view, the ambiance this place is in Grand Prairie and super amazing.
My first time here and the food was absolutely to die for! Everything we ate had so much flavor and was cooked to perfection. Our server Alexandria walked us through the menu and helped us pick out some great options and she was very attentive. She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every part of our first time experience. If you go here you should defiantly request her as your server.
Really enjoyed the patio dining at The Finch. I was able to watch the water show since my dinner time hours occurred during the full water/light show hours. Very entertaining. The food was delicious and they provided great service. I really enjoyed the apple cheesecake and to my surprise the Paris tea was amazing. So much so that I took a Pic of the tea bag so I can purchase some for home! The restaurant provides a cute teapot and tea cup for you to self pour, which I loved. Come out on a nice Texas day or evening if you want to eat and enjoy the separate water/light show. I would definitely revisit. Meal type
First time visit. Very nice looking Place great views and seemed very clean. People at the door were professional, friendly. Service was fine and the food was good but rated three stars simply because of pricing. I know they have to pay for the building and insurance and taxes and all of that, but the salad was priced where other restaurants include a protein on the salad, and a larger portion. Was surprised the Greek salad did not have any peppers. Cappuccino was just very warm, not hot. Don't get me wrong everyone agreed the food was good but everyone also agreed the food was not at the quality level or serving size that the prices were at. Will be trying other new restaurants before coming back. Very nice setting. Went at lunch time, don't remember being offered any specials or lunch specific menu. Brunch is only on weekends!
